Corinthia’s Biography

Corinthia Dixie is a devoted parent, educational leader, and founder of Education Reconsidered, an organization committed to strengthening the connection between families, schools, and communities. At the heart of her work is one unwavering belief: when parents are supported, affirmed, and equipped, children thrive.

As both a parent and an educator, Corinthia understands the realities families face. She has spent over a decade working alongside parents to support children academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. In every role she has held, she has viewed parents not as bystanders in education, but as essential partners. She believes families are a child’s first teachers and most powerful advocates.

Corinthia has served as a classroom teacher, Academic Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal, leading grades 5 through 7 and overseeing academic departments in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout her leadership, she intentionally prioritized strong parent relationships, knowing that student success is most sustainable when home and school are aligned. Her work has helped schools improve outcomes while building cultures of collaboration, trust, and shared responsibility with families.

She began her career in St. Louis Public Schools, where she contributed to the transformation of an unaccredited school to full accreditation within five years. She was honored as a Pettus Teacher of Excellence and later earned her Master of Reading with Special Reading Certification. Beyond school leadership, Corinthia has presented nationally on leadership, instruction, and educator wellness, always emphasizing the critical role families play in a child’s development.

Above all, Corinthia speaks from lived experience. She knows the joy, the worry, the hope, and the complexity that come with raising children in today’s world. Her message centers on encouragement, partnership, and possibility. She reminds parents that their presence, persistence, and love matter deeply, and that even in challenging times, hope is not only possible, it is powerful.

When she is not serving schools and communities, Corinthia enjoys relaxing on her balcony, listening to music, cruising, and spending time with family and friends.
